Rocklands lies on the edge of the Brecklands and is situated between the towns of Attleborough and Watton. The area is made up of the villages of Rocklands All Saints and Rockland St Peter. Together, they have a population of about 700 people.
Although Rocklands is small in size, it has a bustling community and a variety of facilities. The village benefits from a local shop which has stood for over 200 years. Through lottery funding and local volunteers, the shop and Post Office services are able to open seven days a week. A small café is also situated in the shop and shares similar opening times. Rocklands also benefits from a pub. Serving food and drinks to locals and visitors, The White Hart is a fantastic place to spend your evening. Other facilities in the village include a local primary school, playing field with sports facilities, and a community hall. Although Rocklands doesn’t have a library, there are books available to borrow from the old telephone box. As well as this, there are numerous clubs and leisure activities to partake in. Rocklands Mere and Rockland Manor Lake are both great for fishing and are perfect for enjoying the tranquillity of the Norfolk countryside. There are also community clubs for a variety of sports, including football, cricket, horse riding, and karate. Whilst the village also hosts, a flower club, a youth club, and a parent and toddler group.
