The Norfolk village of Tacolneston is located in South Norfolk and has a population of approximately 825 as of the 2011 Census. It is believed that its name comes from the Anglo-Saxon ‘Tatwulfes Tun’ meaning ‘Tatwulf’s farmstead’. Within the village is the Tacolneston Church of England Primary School which educated around 80 peoples. Also in the village is the All Saints Parish Church which dates as far back as the 12th Century. The location of the village and its close proximity to Norwich mean it’s a popular residential village for those commuting to Norwich and the surrounding areas.
